After a few months of teasing and taunting, it's time to finally and formally announce ANALOG.
This project is a collaboration between Syrup Moose Records (Canada) and SHIFT+CTRL Music (USA), as well as the artists MEGAFAUNA (Canada), Voidscan (USA), and Download History (Canada) and releases officially in October of 2026. This is, in its own way, a split EP featuring music from the three artists, both new and existing, with accompanying visuals.

The twist, though, is that this work is only available on VHS.
Tapping into all three artists' love of analog media formats and analog horror, this release seeks to capture that feeling of finding something strange and unknown, something that feels like it shouldn't be where you found it - and that it wasn't there when you last looked.

In terms of the video content, the tape consists of three 10(ish) minute segments, each created by the artist, and that is as much about it as is going to be shared. There is some additional editing and music credited to MEGAFAUNA. Further, each tape comes in a bespoke case created by MEGAFAUNA. All you can know to expect is something made just for you. Tapes will be available for sale, and also might be found in strange places around where the artists live.

Self-described as "despairtronica" based in Hazelton British Columbia, MEGAFAUNA is creating music as a form of therapeutic release, to cope with their own mental illness as well as the bleakness in the world around them. Drawing influences from any and all genres, MEGAFAUNA aims to make music that scratches that one particular itch in the depths of your brain.

A cinematic dystopian fueled cyberpunk electronic music artist and multi-instrumentalist from Wildlight, Florida.Known for his genre hopping style, blending EDM, industrial, electropunk and hip-hop elements. His music features complex electronic arrangements, with a focus on atmospheric soundscapes and infectious beats.

Tapes will be made to order, and the timeline will be dependent on the number of orders. They will be filled on a first come first basis. Tapes will also be created using existing, used, VHS of varying lengths and types of case. One day, it will just be gone and all that will remain are the copies in the wild and the copies of those copies.
